Display Problems?
This website is built using a combination of Layers and Tables and is best displayed using a Windows XP based system running Internet Explorer 7 with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and your the browser text size set to Medium. This will give you the optimum viewing experience and will make full use of this site's functionality including an alternative text description for most of the images when you hover your mouse over them. This is particularly useful when looking for the names of players when viewing the Team Formation and Stats pages of this site. These settings will also result in all the writing fonts used on this site ( predominantly Arial ) being displayed in all their smooth and textured glory!
Of course, in the interest of compatibility with as many of the diverse selection of internet browsers, screen resolutions and screen sizes as possible this site has been tested with the following popular examples and has been shown to display more or less as it should on all of them so any visitors using these browsers etc should not really lose too much on their viewing experience.
Firefox ( version 3.0.15 ), Netscape Navigator ( version 9.0.0.6 ), Opera ( version 9.62 ), Safari ( version 4 ), Flock ( version 2.5.5 ), SeaMonkey ( version 2.0 ) and , of course, Internet Explorer 7, all appear to work fine. If you use later versions of these browsers then they should display OK too.
However, older versions of these browsers, including Internet Explorer 6 and 5.5 are not quite as stable and the results using these browsers can be poor so it may be time to upgrade to the later versions!
Screen resolutions of 1152 x 864, 1280 x 720, 1280 x 768, 1280 x 800, 1280 x 960 and 1280 x 1024 have been tested and display OK although there will be more empty space on the right-hand side of the pages as you increase the screen resolution size. However, on smaller screen resolutions such as 960 x 600 and 800 x 600 the graphics and text will start to display poorly and will overhang the edge of the pages so these smaller resolutions are not recommended.
Finally, although the majority of computer users have Windows based PC's running XP, Vista or the new Windows 7, there are still plenty of people who use Apple Mac computers and I can only hope that this site is as accessible as it should be for people who use the Mac platform.
