Well, after finishing 4th in Division 2 at the end of last Season Chaplin's/Pride were a bit gutted to have just missed out on promotion to Division 1. However, during the
summer break 2 new teams entered into the League which prompted the League to promote Chaplin's/Pride into Division 1 to make it 12 teams in each Division.
Unfortunately, soon after that, Oranje Travel Temptations pulled out of Division 2 leaving the League no choice but to put Chaplin's/Pride back down to Division 2.
However, to complete this rather strange saga yet another new team entered into the League and so amazingly Chaplin's/Pride found themselves being re-promoted back
into the elite eschelons of Division 1!! Finally, top-flite football for the men in black and white, looks destiny to me so bring it on you 1st Division mother-f*****s!!
Sponsorship
Due to the much appreciated continued financial support from Tad at the Yorkshire Pride Bars in Benidorm I think that it is time that we reflected our thanks by giving Tad
his credit and adding his sponsorship to our team name. So, from this Season onwards the team will now officially be called FC Chaplin's/Yorkshire Pride and may we take
inspiration from this name and always play with both character and pride....
